Tim Mattingly

Founder & Software Designer

Tim spent 7 years in public accounting with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Ernst and Young. Plus&Minus Software was conceived during a project converting a main-frame accounting system from tape to disc. With more than 40 years of experience in the technology industry, Tim has an edge on adapting to its constant innovations. He is driven to provide his customers with the data flexibility they need to make operational and management decisions. Plus&Minus Software’s single-file transaction based system maintains its competitive advantage with each technological advance.

Tim subsequently managed manufacturing companies, giving him an insider’s view of accounting applications. His years of experience in both the public accounting and business worlds give him a unique and advantageous perspective. Seamlessly, Tim guides the company’s continual update of user experience both on and offline.

Tim is no stranger to taking on disparate activities. From muscle cars (particularly Corvettes) to Master’s swim teams to piano to choral performances – he has genuine enthusiasm and a special deep-rooted zest for life. Quite the Renaissance man, he brings this contagious energy into his entrepreneurial ventures.

Tom Friedman


Tom spent two years at the University of Notre Dame, graduating with a Psychology degree from the University of Houston. He went on to work at a local CPA firm in Houston which merged with Coopers Lybrand, later to become PriceWaterhouseCoopers. When PWC acquired IBM, he helped transition their global consulting practice. Tom Retired as a partner to PWC.

Tom is a forward-thinking individual and assisted Tim Mattingly in creating the original versions of Plus&Minus Software. His career in management consulting has continually exposed him to new industries, companies, management teams, challenges, and solutions. Tom offers executive advisory services as Align Results Consulting, specializing in developing strategies and implementing operations accounting systems and processes for utility and energy companies around the world.

Tom enjoys traveling with his wife of 35 years, Clare. They also enjoy spending time with their children’s families in New York, Alabama, and Texas when not at the “Sandbox”, their getaway home in Surfside Beach, Texas. Tom felt compelled to give something back to the community and has served as a board member of charitable organizations.

Daniel graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Accounting. Directly after, he began working with M&P Top and has over 8 years of experience.

Reed graduated with honors from the University of Houston with a degree in Management Information Systems. He has been with Plus&Minus for 10 years.

Christine Augspurger

Marketing Consultant

Christine graduated from The University of Iowa as a Doctor of the Musical Arts in Percussion Performance and Pedagogy in 2017. Through the years, the software industry has taken note that the discipline of music lends itself to computers.
