Why did IBM spend money on March 22 and May 5, 2022, to buy full-page ads in the WSJ to solicit you to allow IBM to get your data out of your data silos?

To understand a data silo, imagine a family of 5 living in a compound. Each family member has their own home, and the member must traverse a trail to the main house to meet up with the other members. That’s not a family but an assembly of people!
